Max Hayson

Managing Partner

Max is a Managing Partner of Hayson Property and a third-generation member of the Hayson family — continuing his father Ian’s legacy of landmark Australian property development spanning more than 50 years.

With over a decade of experience across residential, commercial and mixed-use development, Max brings deep expertise in acquisitions, development strategy, planning, sales, construction and project delivery. He has led a diverse range of successful projects — from boutique luxury residential buildings and commercial office assets to high-end retail and large-scale urban precincts — and is known for combining strategic foresight with a rigorous, detail-driven approach.

In addition to his role at Hayson Property, Max is Managing General Partner and co-founder of Initium Capital, an Australian private equity investment firm with over $260 million in funds under management. Through Initium, he has led the acquisition and delivery of high-profile developments in Mosman Village, Bondi Beach and Manly — with several projects currently under construction across luxury residential, commercial and main-street retail sectors.

Max’s work reflects a continuation of the Hayson legacy of shaping places that contribute meaningfully to their communities and stand the test of time.
